About

Vocalist, composer, and educator, Lúcia explores contemporary jazz through the lens of Portuguese-speaking music. She develops her work across various ensembles, collaborating with musicians who share this aesthetic. Her artistic research focuses on the expressive and poetic potential of the voice, integrating improvisation, storytelling, jazz harmony, and rhythmic language influenced by musical traditions from Brazil, Cape Verde, and Portugal. In recent years, she has been performing and presenting original arrangements alongside her own compositions and lyrics.
